Standing as paragon
今日立秋，俗话说“立秋十日遍地黄”，一个金色的秋天就要到来了。书局君特别挑选了，一位被忽视，然而却是最坚定的印象派大师——毕沙罗的作品与大家分享。

最忠诚的印象派大师真容
卡米耶·毕沙罗
Camille Pissarro（1830-1903）
1830年7月10日，毕沙罗出生于西印度群岛中的圣托马斯岛。1903年11月13日，毕沙罗离世。在他去世前一年，远在塔希提岛的高更写道：“他是我的老师。”在他去世后三年，“现代绘画之父”塞尚在自己的展出作品目录中恭敬地签上“保罗·塞尚，毕沙罗的学生”。早年，毕沙罗在丹麦画家弗里兹·梅尔贝的影响下，前往委内瑞拉，描绘那里的热带风景 。

1855年，毕沙罗说服父母，前往巴黎成为一名画家。他和一些艺术家在巴黎美术学院和瑞士学院学习，其中包括柯罗和库尔贝等。学习期间，毕沙罗还结识了塞尚、莫奈和雷诺阿等印象派早期成员。

在印象派诸位大师中，莫奈作为画派的发起者之一，其作品名亦是画派名称。但要说说印象派的真正领袖，非毕沙罗莫属。毕沙罗是惟一一位参加了印象派全部8次展览的画家。
1874年，莫奈提出做独立展览，以对抗当初的官方沙龙，毕沙罗大力支持。1879年，第四次展览时，莫奈将作品送向沙龙，退出了印象派团体。但毕沙罗依然坚守着。他的坚定、平和与热诚，成为印象派团体的稳定因素和实际上的领袖。毕沙罗还曾先后邀请了塞尚、高更、修拉、西涅克等参加联展。

毕沙罗的画风，始终充满着农民的质朴。从自然风光到城市街景，其绘画题材从来没有发生过重大的改变。其尝试过的各种风格和手法，最终融会一起，凝聚成平凡而又出色的毕沙罗风格。正如他自己所希望的，终于在画面上表现了“纯净、简洁、敦厚、柔和、自由和新鲜感。”

自然
通过对大自然的精心观察，毕沙罗养成了对户外自然光色的敏感。他经常和印象派画家莫奈等人离开城市，到山林去写生，这些画作充满单纯清新的蓝绿色调，带有古典韵味的幽静气氛。

人物
毕沙罗的画面总是充满了恬静朴实的气息。画如其人，画家本人是一个刚毅执著和善良温和的人，人们对他的印象是：“他是一个具有伟大心灵的人，对生活充满热情与爱恋。”

静物
印象主义后期走向了技术理性，毕沙罗也曾加入点彩即新印象派，但他的表现要比莫奈等人自由得多。比起绘画技巧，他更向往温和平雅的趣味。他的温暖和韧性，他所呈现的生命的质地，最终决定他的艺术质地。

城市
晚年，毕沙罗把目光转向城市，他住在巴黎市中心，被繁华的街景所吸引。也许是受日本铜版画或照相术的启发，他从旅馆房间的窗户俯瞰大街上来去匆匆的人群和热闹场面，整条大街五光十色，灯火辉煌，充满活力。

1939年，毕沙罗的儿子与艺术批评家廖内洛·文杜里合作，将毕沙罗的绘画和画具整理成册。《毕沙罗》就是以这本最早的图录为基础，并增添了至今为止尚未发表的214幅作品的相关信息，以时间顺序，每件作品的图注中还包含了该作品的收藏记录和签名信息。此外，还增加了新发现的档案。
